A Simple Model of Quantum Trajectories
As a quantum state collapses from a quantum superposition to a classical state or a different superposition, it will follow a path known as a quantum trajectory. Quantum trajectories pertain to different “unravelings” of a mixed state master equation.
The artists represented in this websynradio cast work with their own varied modalities of production. Yet all work with aspects of formalism and structure at a point of spontaneous collapse. Present in all these works are a balance between the structure of composition and a sonic unraveling.
Lorsqu’un état quantique chute d’une structure quantique à un état classique ou une superposition différente, il trace un chemin connu sous le nom de “trajectoire quantique”. Ces trajectoires quantiques se rapportent à différentes résolutions d’une équation d’états mixtes.
Les artistes présents dans ce programme pour websynradio travaillent et mettent en pratique leurs propres modalités. Pourtant, tous ces travaux ont trait à différentes approches formelles et structurelles appréhendées au point d’une chute spontanée. Incidemment ces travaux présentent un équilibre entre la structure de la composition et une résolution sonore.

Victoria Keddie is an artist working in sound, video, and transmission. Her focus involves analog signal generation and manipulation, the performing body, and relationships of space. For five years, she has been Co-Director of E.S.P. TV, a nomadic TV studio that hybridizes technologies to realize synthetic environments and deconstruct the televisual for live performance. In Winter 2016, Keddie launched a mobile transmission based residency operated within and involving an ENG news van. Site specific field work involves concentrated energy fields, fluctuating electronic activity, geographical discontinuity, and time sensitivity.
She has performed and exhibited internationally at venues and festivals such as, The Kitchen, Museum of Moving Image, Queens Museum of Art, and Anthology Film Archives (NYC), Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh), Human Resources (Los Angeles), Lightcone, (Paris), Studio XX (Montreal), LOOP Festival (Barcelona), Pallas Projects (Dublin), Reykjavik Arts Festival (Reykjavik), General Public (Berlin), Axis Art Centre (Crew) and The 14th Independent Film Festival (Naples). With her project, E.S.P. TV, she has been artist-in-residence at Storefront for Art and Architecture and the Museum of Arts and Design.
Video works are distributed through Lightcone, (Paris). Sound works to be released in 2016 with Spectral Evidence, (Cambridge, MA).
Victoria Keddie est une artiste américaine qui travaille dans le son, la vidéo et les réseaux/telecom. Ses domaines d’intervention englobent la génération et la manipulation de signaux analogiques, la performance, et la spatialisation/transmission. Pendant cinq ans, elle a été co-directrice du E.S.P. TV, un studio de télévision nomade qui développe des technologies hybrides pour réaliser des environnements de synthèse et déconstruire les dispositifs télévisuels de direct. Durant l’hiver 2016, Keddie a lancé une résidence sur la base de transmission mobile exploitée à l’aide d’un Van équipé pour les transmissions. Son travail sur le terrain est porté par une attention spécifique aux champs énergétiques, aux activités électroniques fluctuantes, à la discontinuité géographique, et aux perceptions du temps.
